CHIA SEEDS' BENEFITS FOR SKIN, HAIR, AND HEALTH

Nutritionists recognize chia seeds' skin, hair, and health advantages.

Chia seeds have become a popular ‘superfood’ in the health business and in daily diets.

These round, grey seeds with black and white markings are from Salvia Hispanica. Healthy smoothie bowls, yoghurt cups, milky beverages, and snack bars use them because they gel when submerged in liquid.

Skin advantages of chia seeds include:

1. Antioxidant-rich chia seeds combat UV-induced free radical damage. Also helps prevent fine lines and wrinkles.

2. Relieves inflammation: Inflammation is the root cause of most skin disorders. Chia seeds are cooling and can reduce inflammation and calm you.

3. Strengthens skin barrier: A robust skin barrier protects against external aggressors, minimizing acne and UV damage. Chia seeds contain Omega-3 fatty acids that enhance this barrier and protect it from environmental damage.

Chia seed contains an equivalent quantity of omega-3 fatty acids, specifically alpha linolenic acid (ALA), as pulverized flaxseed. They are beneficial for weight management.

The fiber found in chia seeds has been shown to promote intestinal health, lower cholesterol levels, and enhance cardiac health.

As a result of prolonging satiety and delaying digestion, fiber can promote weight loss and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and diabetes.
