Chia seeds are a nutritional powerhouse.

 They are harvested from Salvia hispanica, a floral plant belonging to the mint family.

Due to their capacity to absorb liquid up to twelve times their weight, chia seeds are useful for maintaining the moisture of baked products.

Chia seed advantages Chia seeds are loaded with health benefits. They have a high fiber and omega-3 fatty acid content.

Chia seed contains an equivalent quantity of omega-3 fatty acids, specifically alpha linolenic acid (ALA), as pulverized flaxseed. They are beneficial for weight management.

The fiber found in chia seeds has been shown to promote intestinal health, lower cholesterol levels, and enhance cardiac health.

As a result of prolonging satiety and delaying digestion, fiber can promote weight loss and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and diabetes.
